- This is the very first portrait I took back in the late 1960's! (Janice Hathaway) I shot the image, developed the film and printed the photo. This was for a class in school. Not at all how things are done today. Now, everyone shoots digital. Including me. I love the digital format for many reasons. Instant gratification is one of them. Plus, you can retake blinks and other issues. This is especially important when shooting a wedding! You don't get a second chance to do that!
- I've been a professional photographer for more than 20 years. There is always something to learn. My experience includes working for PCA (Portrait Corporation of America), Olan Mills, Lifetouch and my own studio as well. Experience matters. Knowing things to look out for, poses, head tilts.....the list goes on. Lighting, color corrections, photo editing and graphic design are also desired skills to possess. I have all those.
